I'm a day late everyone, but .. HAPPY NEW YEAR! I hope that 2008 is fantastic for each of you!

Now, three notes:

1. For the past two months, almost every music magazine, in their end of the year reviews, has gone on and on about Amy Winehouse. WHY?? Yes, she had that "Rehab" hit and yes, she acts truly messed up, but .. why are they treating her like the savior of rock/pop/soul music? The girl has only made 2 albums, and most of her success is owed to producer Mark Ronson [whose own cd is pretty good]. Am I missing something?

2. While we are on the subject of music, has anyone heard [or own] the cd KALA by M.I.A.? It is another cd that the magazines are going ga-ga about.

3. Ever notice the large amount of diet/excercise ads that appear this time of year? The companies know that they need to get our money now, while those New Years' weight resolutions are still strong.
