OKKKK, last night, met up with DJ AIRICK, Bill, Jason, Chris, Derrick and other Southern Bears, for the 2007 Bears On The Run Tour! It was really a great time, and not exactly what I expected .. which is a good thing!
Bobaloo is a great MC, who keeps the show moving, moving, moving. Although the show was a liitle over 3 hours, there were no delays to set up equipment, deal with this or deal with that. Elijah has an incredibly powerful voice, and performed a very moving piece for his partner, who passed away last year.
Shannon did a fantastic song about his youth and wanting to be a rock star. Matthew .. what can you say? The man can write some songs. If you see these guys in concert, listen closely to Matthew's song, "Jealous Heart." The song will really get to you.
Kendall, Kendall, Kendall .. Damn! Damn! Damn! That man is damn fine! He is a GREAT performer, super nice man, and can he kiss! We'll just leave that comment alone. And he performed one of my favorites, "The Booty Song!"
Although I did not have a camera, maybe DJ AIRICK will let me post one or two of his pictures??
So, the night was a lot of fun. And you know that I love me some over produced divas, but it was nice to see, talk to and hear some real talented performers!

Oooops, it has been 7 days since I last posted! Beee Aaaa Double D Bad Call Him Miss Ross! Anyway, some notes on the last few days ....
1. Saturday night was Jason and Anthony's "Blood Fest" Annual Halloween Party. Several of the Southern Bears were there, including Matt [LJ blogger Pandas Papa] and James [LJ blogger Red Panda Cub]. J and A truly put out a feast for everyone, as well as helping me with a last minute costume!
2. On Sunday, I walked in my first ever AIDS Walk! Walked with the Bears [Matt, Chris, Derrick, Jeremy and Bob], who raised over $500.00 for Jerusalem House. The weather was great, with enough breeze to keep everyone from overheating.
I found demographics of the Walk participants very interesting. There seemed to be far more straight and African American walkers, as compared to gay men and lesbians. I was thinking that it showed how the disease has truly infiltrated every aspect of society.
3. Also at the walk, I noticed there a number of people wearing "Meth Equals Death" t-shirts and buttons. It is probably just me being very behind the times, but it seems this movement just sprang up in only the last few months. Where did it start?
4. Have a sorta of busy week. Will be going with the Bears to the Bears On The Run Concert. And HOPEFULLY, it appears that I will be pinning that too damn fine KENDALL during the concert. We held a raffle for the opportunity to pin a bear!
