Do You Have This Much Trouble? :)

Okkkkk, on Friday night I began the Christmas hunt for presents for the family. Best Buy hit the spot for my neice and nephew, Sears for half of my Dad's presents, and William Sonoma for my brother and sister in law. Some years I get lucky in knowing what everyone wants, and then finding those stores quickly. Other years have not been so lucky.

Although I love my parents, they can drive me crazy when I'm trying to buy a Christmas or birthday present. I know that Christmas should not be all wrapped up in gifts, and it is the thought that counts, etc, etc .. but STILL there has to be something under the tree.

But back to my parents who will say something like this when I ask what they want .."oh, we have everything .. we really do not need anything .. maybe just some slippers." People - PLEASE HELP ME!! I have gone through the years of getting novelty objects for my Dad's favorite football team [and when he displayed a quickly passing interest in golf, I tried the books, shirts, yada yada], books, etc., so it is time for something new.

My mother is the hardest. Although she'll love everything given to her, will she really use it? I mean more than once a year?

Maybe as you get older, you find that you do not need / want things. Personally, I find this hard to believe, but ask me again in 10-15 years. I am also amazed by the number of people who get gift certificates but never use them?? Why?? That is free money people!! Whenever I get a gift certificate, while I'm saying thank you, I'm also thinking how I'm going to spend it, how late are the stores open, etc. And do not get me started on one of the greatest gift cards .. the I-Tunes Gift Card!!!!! Love, love, love!

Other than Friday's shopping, the weekend was kind of quiet. Met up with DJ AIRICK on Saturday night. He made some excellent tacos, we watched 300, laughed and talked. UGGA!
